Key fold and size information.

No matter the fold you choose, an A3 folded leaflet will always start as a sheet of paper measuring 420mm x 297mm. We have outlined our folds below, letting you know the name of the fold and the finished proportions of the A3 flyer or leaflet you will receive.

• Half Fold: 297mm x 210mm – a single fold down the middle to give you a finished page size of A4. (this is an A3 folded to A4)
• C-Fold: 297mm x 140mm – 2 folds equal distance apart, creating 3 equal panels. The outer panels are folded toward each other so that they overlap.
• Z-Fold: 297mm x 140mm – 2 folds equal distance apart,t creating 3 equal panels. In this method, the panels fold away from each other and create a Z.
• Cross Fold: 210mm x 148mm – 2 folds, both right down the centre to give you a finished page size of A5. (A3 folded to A5)

Do I need to fold the A3 Leaflets myself?

No, of course not! We will fold your full-colour A3 leaflets before we send them out. They’ll arrive printed double-sided, pre-folded and ready for distribution.  As soon as we have finished producing your leaflets, we dispatch them using a next-day delivery service. Don’t forget that all of our print orders come with free UK delivery as standard.

If I upload my design, what file types do you accept?

If you are ordering your A3 Folded Flyers online, we can accept .pdf and .jpeg files.

Please follow the guides below to ensure that your file prints as you wish it to.

Illustrator – In Illustrator, all fonts should be converted to outlines. Images are to be embedded, and then the files are saved in a print-ready PDF.

Photoshop – In Photoshop, please flatten all of your images and don’t use extra channels. The files should be saved as a single Photoshop PDF.

When setting up your design in either program, please set up at 100% of the final-sized output.

Which paper stocks and weights are available?

We offer several paper choices for our A3 folded flyer printing, including a budget 130gsm gloss with a shiny surface and very smooth finish. We find many of our clients prefer our Silk stock as it has a smooth feel with a slight surface texture. We can quote for additional materials that we carry if you are looking for something different.

Where would you use the A3 Folded Leaflet printing?

A3 folded leaflets have so many uses that the answer is just about anywhere! We find our clients commonly use them for promotional offers, attention-worthy newsletters, or mouth-watering menus. The dimensions of an A3 leaflet allow for a great amount of information to be displayed in an easy-to-read format.

Do I need bleed and crop marks on my artwork?

You need bleed on all printed items. You do not, however, need to supply your A3 folded leaflet artwork with crop marks or bleed marks.

Can you advise me of the margins and safe zone requirements?

Of course! For A3 folded leaflets, we would advise a 3mm safe area within the whole design. Where you intend your artwork to be folded, we also advise a 5mm margin to make sure all important words are away from any folds and to ensure a perfect print.
