Our A5 NCR pads are printed on 80gsm NCR paper measuring 148mm x 210mm, a nifty size for carrying in your pocket but one that can still fit lots of information. If you prefer a bound option, consider our A5 NCR Books for perforated top sheets in the same format. Half the size of our A4 NCR Pad and twice the size of our A6!
We offer 2-part and 3-part NCR pads, allowing you to duplicate or triplicate information. All our pads hold 50 sets in total, meaning if you order a 2-part A5 NCR, then each pad would have 100 sheets glued together in the same way a 3-part A5 NCR would have 150 sheets per pad.
What are A5 NCR Pads?
NCR pads are handy business tools that duplicate information for you. In the past, most businesses used carbon paper, which involved using an ordinary sheet of paper over the top of a sheet of blue carbon paper. When pressure was applied with a pen or pencil, the carbon would imprint itself onto the paper below, so you received an exact copy of the details made. However, carbon copy paper was incredibly messy, and writing was so easy to smudge.
Thankfully, the introduction of NCR pads has solved all of these issues and provided an accurate and effortless way for tradesmen and businessmen to duplicate or even triplicate their handwritten documents. How does NCR Pad printing work?
Rather than using carbon paper, NCR pads are made up of several pieces of NCR paper lined with a special micro-encapsulated dye. The paper is glued together in sets of 2 or 3 so that when you apply pressure using a pen or pencil, the ink transfers across all sheets and you have instant copies of the original. You can then rip out the documents, give them to customers and file copies away for yourself.
What options are available on NCR Duplicate pads?
Our printed NCR pads have a lot of customisable options. Such as sequential numbering, great for keeping track, simply let us know your start number! We also offer drilling with either 2 or 4 holes. You can choose to have them printed in full colour or have them just printed in black ink. Please note that if opting for double-sided, the back will always be in black ink.
We offer the best choice of carbonless paper colour,s including Pink, Yellow, Blue and Green, and you can have them in the order you want. The top sheet will always be white, perfect for when you write on the top!

We typically turn most orders around in 7-10 working days, as each order is made bespoke. Sometimes we may dispatch in as little as 5 working days; however, this is not guaranteed due to the nature of the product. When it is through production and meets our quality guidelines, we pack them up and dispatch your NCR on a next-day delivery service to anywhere in the UK mainland.
What are Custom Printed A5 Duplicate NCR Pads used for?
A5 NCR pads are used by many different types of businesses, most commonly tradesmen who need to write out duplicate invoices, delivery notes or receipts quickly and efficiently on a client’s premises. They can be used for any reason where you may need a duplicate of something. Remember that NCR stands for No Carbon Required, saying NCR is quicker than saying carbonless copy paper.
How should I design my Full Colour A5 NCR Pads?
As well as being fantastic tools for duplicating information, NCR pads can be great for establishing your brand identity and establishing a good reputation. Therefore, we highly recommend ensuring the design of your A5 NCR pad looks professional and stays in line with your overall brand message. You should use your logo and brand name so customers can easily recognise your business, as well as your contact details, for ease.
If you have chosen numbering on your A5 NCR pads, please supply us with two files, one for us to print from and one showing the numbering position as a guide. If you would also like to order double-sided NCR pads, we suggest using 70% black for the reserve to avoid any show-through.
Files should be supplied in CMYK as that is the setting we use on our printing presses, and this is standard practice for all printing companies.
We prefer print-ready artwork files to be supplied as a PDF, although high-resolution JPGs with a minimum of 300dpi will work fine too! We always send a screen proof for your approval.
