A5 NCR Books in Staffordshire
If you’re still stuck in the past using messy carbon paper, it’s time you upgraded to an A5 NCR Book. Nobody wants to be that guy making their customer wait while they write up an invoice or delivery note. Instead, take advantage of our 2-part and 3-part NCR Books that give you multiple copies of the same information in one go, giving you more time to focus on the stuff that matters.
As well as bringing more efficiency to your business, our A5 NCR Books are printed bespoke to your brand. Create a design that reflects the professionalism and quality of your company (or leave that to our designers!) and help establish brand recognition with your customers. A good quality NCR book design will reflect the standard of service you provide, so make sure you carefully choose the right design for you.
Our A5 NCR book printing is printed on 80gsm NCR paper measuring 148mm x 210mm, a nifty size for carrying in your pocket but one that can still fit lots of information. We offer 2-part and 3-part NCR Books, allowing you to duplicate or triplicate information. All our books hold 50 sets in total, meaning if you order a 2-part A5 NCR, then each book would have 100 sheets glued together in the same way a 3-part A5 NCR would have 150 sheets per book.
What are A5 NCR Books?
NCR books are handy business tools that duplicate information for you. In the past, most businesses used carbon paper, which involved using an ordinary sheet of paper over the top of a sheet of carbon paper. When pressure was applied with a pen or pencil, the carbon would imprint itself onto the paper below, so you received an exact copy of the details made.
However, carbon paper was incredibly messy, and writing was easy to smudge. Thankfully, the introduction of NCR has solved all of these issues and provided an accurate and effortless way for tradesmen and businessmen to duplicate or even triplicate their handwritten documents.
We wrote a great article on the difference between NCR Pads, Sets, and Books. Make sure you choose the right NCR for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do A5 NCR Books work?
Rather than using carbon paper, NCR books are made up of several pieces of NCR paper lined with a special micro-encapsulated dye. The paper is glued together in sets of 2 or 3 so that when you apply pressure using a pen or pencil, the ink transfers across all sheets and you have instant copies of the original.
Unlike our A5 NCR Pads, our A5 NCR Books come with the top sheets perforated – this means you retain a copy at all times within the book. For example, if you have a triplicate A5 NCR book, copies 1 and 2 would be perforated, and the last sheet would not.
What can A5 NCR Books be used for?
A5 NCR Books can be used by many different types of businesses to create custom duplicate books, most commonly by tradesmen who need to write out duplicate invoices, delivery notes or receipts quickly and efficiently on a client’s premises.
They can be used for any reason where you may need a duplicate or triplicate of something. For a loose format option, consider our A4 NCR Sets if you prefer unbound carbonless copies. Their A5 size makes them a perfect compact yet professional invoice companion. Simply write on the top, and the information is copied; this is a reliable way to create duplicates or triplicates.
How are Stapled NCR books made?
Our carbonless books, or NCR books, consist of 50 sets per book. The number of sheets per book can vary depending on how many copies you require. If you are after duplicate copies, i.e. 2 parts, then there would be 100 sheets of special NCR paper making up the 50 individual NCR sets. In the same way, if you are after a 4-part, there would be 200 sheets per book.
When we know this, we take your chosen colours for your copies, i.e., Pink, Yellow, Blue or Green, and collate them after additional finishing, such as numbering and glueing all the carbonless paper together onto a strong backing board. Along with this, we also make sure that the top sheets are perforated for easy removal(the last sheet will always remain fast in the book). We then staple them with super-strong staples and cover the binding edge with special spine tape.
Typically, we advise that our NCR books are available on a 7-10 working day production, and when your order is complete, ship with a next-day delivery service to get them to you asap!
What print options are available with my Custom Printed NCR Invoice Books?
Our custom-printed NCR books, whether A4 or A5, come with a lot of options. You can choose to have loose writing shields or fixed wrap-around card cover shields. We offer sequential numbering for free – you just have to tell us the start number. Our invoice books or receipt books can be printed in full colour (to the front only) or printed in black. We offer a free drilling service with a choice of 2 or 4 holes.
How should I design my A5 NCR Books?
As well as being fantastic tools for duplicating information, NCR Books can be great for establishing your brand identity and establishing a good reputation. Therefore, we highly recommend ensuring the design of your A5 NCR Book looks professional and stays in line with your overall brand message. You should use your logo and brand name so customers can easily recognise your business, as well as your contact details, for ease.
If you have chosen numbering on your A5 NCR Book, please supply us with two files, one for us to print from and one showing the numbering position as a guide. If you would also like to order double-sided NCR books, we suggest using 70% black for the reserve to avoid any show-through.
All artwork should be set up in the CMYK colour palette to ensure a great print.
