At Print Stafford, we don’t cut corners with our folded leaflets. They are all printed in full vibrant colour and folded before they are shipped, meaning you can start distributing them as soon as they arrive. 

Essential fold and size information.

No matter the fold you choose, an A4-folded leaflet will always be the same size, measuring 210 x 297mm when opened out. We have outlined our folds below, letting you know the name of the fold and the final dimensions of the leaflet you will receive.

• Half Fold: 148mm x 210mm – a single fold down the middle to give you a final page of A5 to make A4 folded to A5 leaflets
• C-Fold: 99mm x 210mm – 2 folds equal distance apart, creating 3 equal panels folded towards the middle. This creates what is known as a 6pp DL.
• Cross Fold: 105mm x 148mm – 2 folds, both right down the middle to give you a final page of A6.
• Z Fold leaflets: 99mm x 210mm – 2 folds equal distance apart, creating 3 equal panels folded concertina. This creates what is known as a z-fold 6pp DL.

Do I need to fold the A4 Leaflets myself?

No, of course not! We will fold your full-colour A4 leaflets before we send them out. They’ll arrive printed double-sided, pre-folded and ready for your distribution team.

If I upload my flyer design, what file types do you accept?

If you are ordering your A4 Folded Flyers online, we can accept .pdf and .jpeg.

Please follow the guides below to ensure that your design prints as you wish it to.

Illustrator –  fonts and text should be converted to outlines. Images are to be embedded, and these are saved as a press-ready PDF.

Photoshop – All files should be saved as a single Photoshop PDF.

When setting up your artwork for your printed A4 Folded Leaflets in Illustrator or Photoshop, please set up at 100% of the final finished prints.

All files should be supplied in CMYK. Please note that images such as logos should be no less than 300dpi.

Which paper stocks and weights are available with leaflet printing?

We offer several paper choices on our A4 leaflet printing, including a budget 130gsm gloss stock with a shiny surface and very smooth finish. Many of our customers prefer our Silk stock as it has a smooth feel with a slight surface texture. We can quote for additional stocks that we carry if you are looking for something different.

Where would you use an A4 Folded Leaflet?

A4 folded flyers have so many uses that the answer is just about anywhere! We find our customers commonly use them as price lists, attention-worthy newsletters, or mouth-watering menus. The size of these allows for plenty of information to be displayed in an easy-to-read format.

Do I need bleed and crop marks on my artwork?

You need to add bleed to all our printed items. You do not, however, need to supply your A4 folded leaflet artwork with crop marks or bleed marks. If you want to make sure that not only is the quality perfect but that the digital file is set up correctly, why not download our templates to give to your designer or use in your design software?

Can you advise me of the margins and safe zones?

For A4 folded leaflets, we would advise a 3mm safe area within the whole layout. Where you intend your artwork to be folded, we also advise a 5mm margin to make sure all important words are away from any folds and creases to ensure a perfect print.
