With our A4 NCR Books, you create 2-3 copies of the same information at once, giving you more time to focus on serving your customers and providing them a top quality service. There’s nothing worse than standing with a client and making them wait while you write down multiple copies of an invoice, purchase order or receipt.

All our A4 NCR Books are printed on 80gsm NCR paper measuring 210mm x 297mm, a handy size to carry around and still fit on lots of information. We offer 2-part and 3-part NCR books allowing you to duplicate or triplicate information. All our pads hold 50 sets in total, meaning if you order a 2-part A4 NCR then each book would have 100 sheets glued together in the same way a triplicate NCR Book would have 150 sheets per book. (We can quote for 4-part NCR books printed in full-colour too!)
NCR stands for ‘No Carbon Required’ and illustrates the way NCR paper does the same job as carbon paper but in a better, cleaner, and more efficient way. Still to this day, some businesses use blue carbon paper which involves using an ordinary sheet of paper over the top of a sheet of carbon paper. When pressure is applied with a pen or pencil, the carbon will imprint itself onto the sheet below so that an exact copy of the details is made.
However, carbon paper is known for being messy and smudges can cause inaccurate information to be presented. Instead, our NCR carbonless paper allows you to still duplicate information but in a clean, efficient and precise way. We only use high-grade 80gsm carbonless paper as standard and offer free delivery on all of our personalised NCR books.
Unlike our A4 NCR Pads, our A4 NCR Books come with the top sheets perforated – this means you retain a copy at all times within the book. For example, if you have a duplicate A4 NCR book copies 1 would be perforated and the last sheet not. In this way, a copy is always kept fast in the book for archiving.

Instead of using a sheet of carbon paper, NCR book printing books are made up of several pieces of NCR paper. The back of each sheet is coated with a special micro-encapsulated dye that reacts with the top of the paper below when pressure is applied. When you press down with your pen or pencil, you get an instant copy of the original, so you have a copy for yourself and one for your customer.
NCR books can have many uses, but because of their quick and easy duplication, most businesses use them for creating custom duplicate books such as multiple invoices, delivery notes, receipts, order forms and accident forms. Each one of our custom printed NCR books contains 50 NCR sets in each book. Individual NCR sets are the number of copies you require, for example, duplicate (2 copies) or triplicate (3 copies). Our books are available in 2 sizes with sequential numbering and drilling (2 or 4 holes). They are glued, stapled bound and taped on one edge, with the removable copies perforated for easy removal.
As with any piece of branded stationery, the design of your A4 NCR books should look professional and follow suit to the rest of your brand message. We recommend including your logo and brand name so customers can quickly establish an identity for your business as well as contact details for ease.
If numbering is needed on your A4 NCR books, please supply two files, one for print and one showing the numbering position as a guide. If you would also like to order double sided NCR books, we suggest using 70% black for the reserve to avoid any show-through.
We prefer print-ready PDFs but can work with high-resolution JPGs should we need to. We offer free artwork checks on all of our stapled NCR books and will always send a screen proof for you to approve before printing.
