Frequently Asked Questions

What are some benefits of Stapled Booklet printing?

Aside from being fantastic marketing tools and an easy way of presenting important information about your brand, stapled brochures are incredibly cost-effective making them a first choice for many businesses. Printed stapled booklets are also easy to distribute; you can hand them out on the street like a leaflet, include them with customers’ orders for additional exposure or have them on display in your office or establishment to attract customers to pick them up.

Once you have caught the attention of your potential customer with an eye-catching design, they are extremely beneficial for establishing trust and a positive reputation. Unlike emails that are considered impersonal, printed sales literature like stapled brochures sends a message to your clients that you care and that you are willing to invest in good marketing tools and provide quality services to match.

How should I design my printed Stapled Brochures?

Just as you would design any custom business stationery, your stapled booklets should stay in line with your brand identity and include familiar colours, fonts and logos found elsewhere in your business. We recommend including your brand name and logo for instant recognition, your contact details and of course any information you think your customer expects from your design. The number of pages that you need will be dependent on what you are using your custom booklets for. Typically as with most printed items, you will need a 3mm bleed (or trim) to ensure a professional finish if you are unsure feel free to download our pdf templates to get you started.

As standard within the printing industry, we recommend that you ensure you are set up in the colour profile of CMYK, but as part of our proofing process, we always run your artwork through Adobe InDesign and export using fogra39 pdf format. This is to make sure that your artwork is truly print-ready. We recommend sending your multi-page pdf as single pages, 1 for the amount of pages including your cover pages and all internal pages, we would not recommend sending them as spreads.

Which Paper Types and Weights Are Available?

They can be printed on a choice of high-quality stock including 120gsm uncoated, 130gsm gloss, 150gsm, 170gsm and 250gsm silk as standard alongside other stocks upon request! We also offer several finishing options on our printed booklets including Gloss Lamination (for a glossy cover), Matt Lamination, Soft Touch Laminated and Spot UV and Foil. (Please note Spot UV and foiling is only available if you have chosen to have your high-quality stapled brochure matt laminated or with soft touch laminated).

Why can my Stapled Booklets only be printed per 4 pages?

To make sure that no pages fall out of the saddle-stitched brochure, we make use of a size that is twice as large as the final format of the brochure. For example, when you choose an A4 stapled brochure with 8 pages, then we will print two A3 sheets (two times as big as A4) these pages are folded in half along the fold line. Then the printed pages are stapled together using metal staples along the spine.

If you donтАЩt have enough content to fill four pages, donтАЩt worry, there are plenty of solutions for you to choose from. Ideally, you would not want to have blank pages unless intended within the design. You could find a sponsor who would like to have their advertisements or make use of an extra introduction page.

Absolutely! We understand you probably have lots of better things to do, so let us save you some time by designing your custom-printed stapled brochures for you. Simply send your brief to our team and we will review it and reply with a quote for the work. We do advise that you give us as much information as possible about your booklet design so we can quote you accurately.
